move…
“Move!”… is something I have to tell myself and clients on almost a daily basis. The time is now. One of the biggest and most common challenges I see in therapy is the decision to MOVE. I feel it! The paralysis that we feel when wanting to make that next move towards our own expansion is REAL. These decisions can range from something seemingly simple such as what to eat for breakfast, or more complicated like whether to leave the job that is no longer aligning with your life path, or how to leave the relationship that simply doesn’t feel “right,” or even a decision to start the therapy journey with me!
Every decision can feel like the biggest decision when we are the verge of expansion , but the truth is if we don’t step into the action we remain stuck and stagnant. This might be one of the most painful human conditions of all.
There’s no such thing as the wrong way.
every road leads you to the place you are meant to be, but you must choose to move.
clients often share :
“I don’t know where to start.”
“I’ve been to several therapists/coaches and i’m tired of telling my story over and over again.”
“You wouldn’t understand.”
“You are going to be so disappointed.”
“…but i thought I was doing that.”
“It’s too late to change.”
“I’ll never be able to do that.”
“I don’t know what I’m supposed to feel.”
The first response I always have to all of these statements is:" “but are you here right now?”
The answer is always a resounding, “YES!”
Next I’d love to say: “WELCOME!”
You don’t know where to start that’s ok YAY! You’ve already started. I hear ya!!
You are tired of telling your story? Let’s start writing a new one..
So you believe, I would not understand,? TRY ME. I’m an open book and if I have not heard it, been through it, or worked with someone who has…welp, even better! We navigate together and learn MORE and gain more experience, strength, and hope for the collective.
As for me being disappointed in you?! NEVER . What we consider “mistakes” are typically the most valuable catalysts for growth and usually are learning opportunities.
“…but I thought I was doing that”: You likely are doing some form from your default settings you’ve accumulated over time, we are just going to tweak the way you are doing it to make it flow easier.
It’s NEVER too late to change: That’s fear talking and so we come back to love. We choose love for ourselves starting NOW. It’s never to late you are right on time.
“I’ll never be able to do that.” This is one of my faves! Challenge accepted and let’s do it together then.
I’m here to bring the light that I carry and pass that to you in any way that I can. These glimmers get bigger and brighter and I find pure joy in watching clients grow and expand. The time is now, do it scared and take one small action today that feels a little bit uncomfortable. Your future self thanks you now. Get excited and welcome! I hope this message inspires.
In gratitude,
